Transfer Students from U.S. Colleges or Universities
For Students Transferring from a U. S. college or university, the
following is needed:
-
An
LSCC International Admissions
Application along with the
$70.00 application fee.
-
Visa Clearance Form from LSCC completed by the
previous school.
-
Official transcripts from the previous school
must be requested to be sent directly to LSCCs Admissions Office. If the
student successfully completed college-level English and/or Math, the
student will not have to take the placement test.
-
A copy of current I-20 and I-94 card (both
sides). Once in local area, the International Student Services Office needs
to view the originals.
-
A copy of the picture page showing the
expiration page in the students passport, along with a copy of the current
visa, I-94 card and current I-20. Once in local area, the International
Student Services Office needs to view the originals.
-
If the student did not complete a degree at the
previous college or university, the student would need to prove successful
completion of secondary education.
-
Proof of financial support. See this
information at Financial Requirements.
-
Proof of Health/Accident Insurance. Download
the Certificate of Compliance.
-
Once all of the above has been submitted,
reviewed and accepted, the student must contact the current school to inform
them of the intent to transfer to Lake-Sumter Community College. The current
school will update the student's record on SEVIS to transfer out. The old
school will indicate Lake-Sumter Community College as the new school and
will set a release date. Once a release is completed by the old school, only
then will LSCC be permitted to complete a new I-20 to "transfer in" the new
student.
