The goal of the English lab is to assist writers and to promote academic independence by improving students grammar, sentence structure, and writing skills.

The English Lab provides academic support for LSCC students enrolled in any class requiring composition and/or instruction in grammar skills. On a space-available basis, the English Lab also provides tutorial support for junior and senior level high-school students as well as persons from the community interested in improving their English skills through independent study.

Make-Up Test Proctoring

For students who have missed a test in any subject, make-up testing is another service offered through the English lab. Instructors send the test and a Testing Request Form with instructions to the Learning Center. Students should call to make sure their tests have arrived in the Learning Center. Students must bring in a PHOTO ID in order to take any test in the Learning Center. Students must allow themselves adequate time to complete the test before Lab closing hours.
