Ebook Collections

Electronic Books are full-text versions of print books and can be accessed by LSSC students, faculty and staff from any Internet connection. Lake-Sumter State College subscribes to several E-book collections, which are available through the Databases A-Z page or by simply clicking on the links provided below.

To log on, use your X-ID as the Borrower ID and your six-digit birth date (MMDDYY) as the PIN. Members of the public may access databases on library premises only.

EBSCO eBooks	The EBSCO eBooks collection features over 62,000 full-text titles that can be checked out online and browsed. These reference works, scholarly books, and popular titles are available by clicking the link above or through the Catalog.
ebrary	The ebrary collection currently includes more than 52,000 titles from more than 220 of the world's leading academic, STM, and professional publishers.
ABC-CLIO	The The ABC-CLIO Digital Collection contains a collection of over 5,000 E-books that can be checked out and browsed by chapter, section, or page.
Encyclopaedia Britannica Online	Encyclopaedia Britannica Online includes the complete 32 volume Britannica set, Britannica Student Encyclopedia, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary & Thesaurus, as well as maps and popular media.
Oxford University Press	Oxford University Press eBooks include the Oxford English Dictionary and the extensive Oxford Reference Online: Premium Collection which includes not only the Core Collection, but also many Premium Collection titles as well.
Virtual Reference Library	The Virtual Reference Library contains entire full-text reference volumes from Gale Publishing that can be searched selectively and as a group.
