Library & Discount Card
In order to borrow material from the LSCC Libraries, you must have
a Library & Discount Card. These cards are available at any campus
library during regular hours.
Cards are issued free of charge to any current LSCC student, faculty or staff member. The library card identifies the holder as a Lake-Sumter Community
College student, faculty or staff member and entitles them to local area business discounts.
You do not need a card in order to log on to online resources. Simply use your X-ID
as your Borrower ID and the last four digits of your Social Security Number
as the PIN.
Cardholders are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards.
Address and phone number changes should be reported to the library. Lost
or stolen cards should be reported as soon as possible.
LSCC Students, Faculty & Staff:
LSCC students, faculty and staff can obtain a library card at any campus
library. Proof of fee payment and/or another form of photo ID will be
required. Distance learners may request a card by phone (352-365-3563)
or by e-mail and it will be mailed.
Community Borrowers:
Residents of Lake County or Sumter County who are not currently registered
LSCC students may present a valid Lake County Library System library card
or Sumter County Library System library card and a Florida operator’s
driver’s license and receive borrower’s privileges at no charge.
The card is valid for one year and is renewable by presenting a Lake or
Sumter County library card.
Out-of-county residents and Lake and Sumter residents who do not have
a valid county library card may purchase an annual community borrower's
library card for $7.50. A Florida operator’s driver’s license
or state ID card must be presented.
Reciprocal Borrowers:
Students who are currently enrolled at any other public Florida college
or university will be issued an LSCC library card upon presentation of
a valid photo ID card from their home institution or a non-photo library
card supported by other photo ID.
