My name is Jeremy Norton and I was born in Wisconsin. I don't remember living in Wisconsin because my family escaped the frigid cold to sunny Florida before I was one. What I did take from there is a love for cheese and brats, which come from being related to a family from the Badger State.

I have lived in Central Florida for most of my life; bouncing from Orlando to Tampa to Winter Haven and up to Gainesville where I attended school. At the University of Florida I studied world politics and history, two of my academic passions. Being a UF student, I attended many sporting events and became a die-hard Gators' fan in the process.

I began my library career on the second day of classes as a freshman in Gainesville when I started work as a student assistant. Little did I know at the time that I would work at that library for six years and find my way into library school at USF in Tampa. You never know where life might take you.

In addition to being a librarian at LSCC, I enjoy traveling, hiking, SCUBA diving, genealogy, watching the Gators win football games, and playing with my son and daughter. I have traveled to many places in the United States as well as Europe and Central America. The Appalachian Trail has been a preferred hiking destination and I have traced my family back to the 1400's. Well that's me.
