Before finding my way to LSCC South Lake Campus Library, I gained experience while employed as a library assistant at ECPI College of Technology in Virginia Beach. Prior to that, I worked as a computer technician for the Shawnee Public Library System in Southern Illinois and the Student Affairs Department at SIUC. In my younger, more adventurous days, I served for eight years as a telecommunications specialist in the U.S. Navy, completing tours of duty in Alaska, Hawai'i, and Japan. Currently I'm a strategic intelligence analyst for U.S. Army Reserves in Orlando.

My favorite pastimes include traveling and sightseeing. As an undergrad at UH, I spent my final semester studying abroad in London, followed by an unforgettable summer backpacking around Europe. I love visiting historical and cultural sites, studying art and architecture, exploring museums, attending theatre performances, and especially--trying out the local cuisine! (My rule is--if I can't pronounce it, I order it!) When I'm home, I enjoy surfing the web, taking continuing education courses, listening to NPR, practicing yoga, and of course, curling up on the sofa with my handsome husband of three years to read a good book!
