LSSC Employee Wellness Plan

Why a Wellness Plan?
National and international research on wellness plans shows that sustained or improved employee well-being not only improves overall employee quality of personal and work life but also reduces health risks which later lead to chronic illness and increased health care cost.    Recognizing such research, the Cabinet approved a voluntary LSSC Wellness Plan which will provide support for employees to establish personal wellness goals, work toward attainment of those goals, and receive incentives for them.

When does the LSSC Wellness Plan begin?
The plan’s kick-off is on February 22nd & 23rd with the Health Fair at Leesburg and South Lake. See details for joining below at “What do I have to do to join the plan?“ in the FAQ section.

What areas of wellness does the plan support?
The major wellbeing areas of the plan are: Weight, Nutrition, Stress, Heart Health, Exercise, Lifestyle, and specific Men/Women’s Health Issues.  Physical activity or exercise is a critical supporting element that affects all the areas.
