Student Life at LSCC
 Lake-Sumter Community College encourages student participation in activities that complement the academic program of the College by providing opportunities for leadership development, pursuit of special interests and social interaction. Student Life also offers a variety of services including Campus Recreation, Leadership Institute, and on-campus and community Student Activities events and service projects. The Student Government Association is under the auspices of Student Life. Our motto is GET EXCITED—GET INVOLVED! LSCC Student Life Programs and Services:
Student Activities– A variety of social and educational activities are held throughout the year. Food and fun are always included at these monthly events held on all 3 LSCC campuses.
Student Government Association: LSCC features over 20 different clubs and organizations for student involvement. All of these groups function under the auspices of the SGA which is the official voice of the student body. The SGA meets weekly on each campus and monthly all officers and club representatives come together to discuss college-wide issues. All LSCC students are members of the SGA.
Leadership Institute– Leadership programs and workshops feature a variety of topics hosted by guest speakers/facilitators. The LSCC Team Challenge course allows groups and teams to learn how to more effectively work together.
Campus Recreation– This program features both Intramurals, as well as Wellness and Fitness activities. Open gym hours and nights provide a recreational outlet with basketball and volleyball. Intra-campus sporting events, competitions, and races are also offered. LSCC Wellness Center is housed in the Health Science Center on Leesburg campus and offers workout facilities for use by all currently registered students, staff and faculty. Equipment includes Nautilus, Stairmasters, treadmills, stationary bikes, free weights etc. There is also a Fitness Center/Weight Room featuring free weights located in the Leesburg Gymnasium.
