Volunteers/Internships

Volunteers

LSCC-TV welcomes participation from individuals who want to volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and willing to consistently donate a minimum of at least 10-20 hours a week of time. If you would like to volunteer your time, call 352-365-3507 or email: shearerr@lscc.edu

Volunteers may have the opportunity to assist with:
• recording shows in the studio or the field
• operate a camera, audio equipment, lighting equipment, construct or strike sets
• duplicate videotapes
• produce programs
• assist with productions as needed

Some experience with audiovisual experience would be helpful. Training may be provided.

Internships

LSCC students may get college credit for interning at LSCC-TV by signing up for either Communications Practicum (MMC 2949) or Cooperative Education Internship in Broadcasting (RTV 2949). Students from other colleges or universities may intern at LSCC-TV but must make sure their department will accept the credits and how the credits will be earned. Students must work 150 hours during the semester to receive credit. Contact the LSCC-TV station manager if you are interested in an internship.
